well, got a completely bare frame as of today, prolly gonna get paint stripper to save all that sanding,
and the toomey pipe deal fell thru, the kid didnt tell his dad i was coming today, so about half way to bumfuk egypt the kid calls with bad news, when he got to his dads where the quads are, his dad sold it yesterday, prolly just gonna paint this right bend for now

recent progress......
got my top end back from ken oconnor, excellent lookin work as usual, found out from ken that this cylinder has already had some very mild porting done, he cleaned them up, smoothed all the transfers and gave it his exhaust port treatment, and my old piston wouldnt work, so got a new .030 over vertex piston for it
had to call snyder motorsports about the allen head bolt kit i ordered a month ago, they were still waitin on the flange nuts, i said forget them, and my bolts came over nite,
ready to split the cases and clean out all the piston shrapnel, install new crank bearings, and all new gaskets and seals,
my buddy got me some spray on "airplane stripper" for $4 a can, used 2 cans on the frame today, and holy sh*t, this stuff worked awsome, save me tons of sanding, sprayed it on, waited about 10 minutes and the paint was just falling off, pressure washed the rest off, the frame is now butt naked, except around the welds, seemed to really stick there.......
a little sanding and frame is ready for some primer, and still goin with an urban camo theme on it, but still undecided on colors, saw some awsome lookin green, blue and fuscia chrome lookin stuff at advanced?????
paintin this week comin sometime
all parts listed above are here and tearin into the bottom end and assemble motor soon too, also found the tie rods and where they hook to the steering stem was shot, got an '05 stem and rods, and ordered myself a custom built +3 swinger for my bike that has a shock mount set for the trx250r shock, and my trx450 shock will be going on this bike

sweet sound like its guna be a bad ass blasty. mine should be done about this time next month depending on the plastics. ive got a few tips for ya with the painting bro if you want? it something i did alot of research about.
once the frame is bare, like your, dont just prime it use a product called por-15 metal ready to etch it and it kills any rust and coats it in zinc, like when you buy new bolts they have that coating on them, like that. you get por15 marine clean to clean it first. the por 15 range of paints is hard wearing stuff but a bit pricey, just more options for you. but please consider the metal ready at least i can tell you its awesome stuff.

hey sillykid check out a company called eastwood, they make a powdercoat paint disolver, apparantley it doesnt just bubble the pc it disolves it.
looks like youre moving right along man. i cant wait to see how you paint the frame. i actually did the same thing as you did today and my frame looks exactly like that right now because i used the same stuff to strip my frame. i dont know about you but i got some on my skin and holy sh*t that burns like a biotch lol
dude you can be such a ahole sometimes... what is so hard about no tposting bullshit in peoples build threads? you did the same sh*t with mine.... you say its a joke and that may be but it is irritating.
well, cracked my first set of cases today, to clean out the piston shrapnel and install new bearings and seals, was kinda worried about gears and all coming outta place, but it all went easy breezy, the tusk clutch holder and crank puller worked flawlessly, cleaned and installed and got it mostly back together, gotta pick up a few short screws for the one bearing holder to finish the clutch side tomorrow, had to use an easy out on the old ones.....
also picked up some "potential" chrome colors for the "urban camo" style piantjob on the frame, wished they would have had some green, to tie in the monster energy grafix, gotta check some other places, but thinkin chrome base, then the colors placed randomely throughout................
