recent progress......
got my top end back from ken oconnor, excellent lookin work as usual, found out from ken that this cylinder has already had some very mild porting done, he cleaned them up, smoothed all the transfers and gave it his exhaust port treatment, and my old piston wouldnt work, so got a new .030 over vertex piston for it
had to call snyder motorsports about the allen head bolt kit i ordered a month ago, they were still waitin on the flange nuts, i said forget them, and my bolts came over nite,
ready to split the cases and clean out all the piston shrapnel, install new crank bearings, and all new gaskets and seals,
my buddy got me some spray on "airplane stripper" for $4 a can, used 2 cans on the frame today, and holy sh*t, this stuff worked awsome, save me tons of sanding, sprayed it on, waited about 10 minutes and the paint was just falling off, pressure washed the rest off, the frame is now butt naked, except around the welds, seemed to really stick there.......
a little sanding and frame is ready for some primer, and still goin with an urban camo theme on it, but still undecided on colors, saw some awsome lookin green, blue and fuscia chrome lookin stuff at advanced?????
paintin this week comin sometime
all parts listed above are here and tearin into the bottom end and assemble motor soon too, also found the tie rods and where they hook to the steering stem was shot, got an '05 stem and rods, and ordered myself a custom built +3 swinger for my bike that has a shock mount set for the trx250r shock, and my trx450 shock will be going on this bike
