Just see if you can clean up the tang on that float it will allow the needle to mate with it better.

i already did. that carb was the fro mthe older mower, and i did the least work on. so thats y it was like that. i hate those small tings that make a huge difference lol! and that money is goining towards shocks, tires, paying my mom back, and races! lol

bahahaha! ive been working on engines since i rember, and i love doing it, but it wasent until last year i decided to make some money off it. lol its jus the stupid little things that i rush that usually come back and get me.

Do yourself a favor. Get a one gallon can of Berrymans carb dip http://www.berrymanproducts.com//Portals/0/images/0996.jpg should be less than $20 , cleans even the smallest passage. X-2 on cleaning outside of carb, there's enouh crap on your thumb in that pic to plug it right back up. Read instructions on carb dip X( no plastic or rubber

like i said. i uaually take them off, and clean them reallly well, but i needed the money asap, and half fast it. so i f-ed my self this time.... owell, lesson learned

Sounds like you got it all figured out! I made a couple grand each summer fixing lawnmowers back when I was in middle- and high school. Then I went to work full-time at a shop my junior year and did even better. Get good at these little engines and you'll have a nice source of extra income. Everybody needs mowers fixed but few people wanna mess with them.
