Killin fish in CT

I took this week of to try to get a little R and R. One of the things I love most about living in CT is the fishing. I can drive 45 minutes and be on the ocean. We caught these fish in a place called The Race. It's south of Fishers Island and North of Long Island. Three ocean currents come blasting in to a target zone and beat up the bait like crazy. The big fish know it AND SO DO I!!!!!!!!!!! The targets were Stripers and Blue Fish. So me and my bud Charlie decided to take the Hydro Sport out and get a little R and R. Here's how we did.

maybe thats how yall were taught to use a spinner reel(open face) but your using it upside down........thats why your haveing to reel backwards

Charlie is a fishing rookie! I ran the Penn 330 and custom built striper rod. I'm glad he hooked up! Fish in CT are so stupid!

i use a Penn spinner reel and rod to, but im more of a bait caster guy..........but its mostly large mouth bass for me......but everynow and then you might catch me with a chicken liver cat fishing............but its nice to see some more anglers on here

lol wtf Ken u all sentimental I just dont see it lol I love fishing myself I do more crappie fishing now that anything but used to love to bass fish I also am a BIG deer hunter duck hunter dove rabbit squirrel turkey pretty much any king of game lol It passes time

Im in to fishing too...mostly freshwater. Its a blast going with my 2 boys and usually my dad. Hopefully ill be able to get the boat out here soon...havent taken it out once yet.

I as well love to fish, unfortunetly I haven't been much this year, and the river is stupid high atm so its kinda pointless atm, guess I could bowfish some of the back water, haha. I mostly fish the river, don't know of any good ponds anymore to go to, or that I can go to. On a side note my first experience with the ocean was when we were in Florida on vacation. We were in a 16 foot boston whaler in 2-4ft swells, haha its sucked

nice vid man! i love to fish even though i dont get out as much as i would like. mainly bass around here in the rivers where i grew up we get walleye and whatnot but definately bass is the main fish we catch. i have a quantum energy pti reel (the color changing one I:I) and a niiice fenwick rod my dad got me for my birthday a while ago. its a great combo, casts a mile and NO SNAGS.
