I just purchased a Keihin pwk 28mm carb and I can't figure out how to atatch the the throttle cable there's just a plastic cup over top of the needle and no screws or spots for screws to hold a retainer in any help is appreciated this is the first keihin carb I ever had

Yea there is a slot on the slide that just the cable fits in and a grove on the plastic retainer lines up to that slot but there is no were in the slot for the lead slug on the cable to go into I am thinking since the carb is new maybe they forgot to machine the a spot for the lead slug

can you take a pic?? its been a long time since ive had my carb off and am having a hard time picturing it lol

Alright, i dont wanna jack this thread but while it's started ill ask you. Is the float height right? Like it plays from top of bowl to bottom. Not like stock carb where u have to push the float down. And where the main jet goes in. There is no washer and is that thing screwed out to much? if anyone has a photo of what a pwk28mm looks like with bowl off please show me.

I have never messed with an aftermarket carb but here it is.

supa noob. Like idk much about carbs. But the float is touching the roof of the carb. Like on its own.

lol again to do it right you will need to look up the specs for that carb and measure where they tell you. ive never actually messed with my floats, i think i bought the nicest 34mm pj ever made lol its been great to me haha I:I

Float hight for a PWK 28mm is 19mm. The throttle cable is a pain to install, but it can be done with a little patients. There IS a slot there, but it's shallow. You will have to line it up with the round plastic guide that's attached to the spring. There's a slot inside that; match that up with the notch that's in the D-slide chamber. Hope this helps.
