Ok I went on there to check on this jet needle for the pwk 35 I'm dealing with and they have some crazy chart for cross referencing I'm not familiar with.the part number on my needle is "nr1173" can someone familiar with that site dicipher for me what I need.they list many to choose from so I'm sure they got what I need.thanks for the help and effort.

Hmmm. My SUDCO catalog says that is a BGP.

The letters stand for taper, length, and diameter, in that order.

Your 72 you were talking about would be a BGN. I will repeat tho, that the 73 OEM needle is larger in diameter and therefore will lean out the mid-range more than the 72. BTW, here is a link to a page with the chart (towards the bottom) and some tuning info. The charts look like a direct lift from the SUDCO catalog, pg 68.

I don't see a BGP listed, that's a bummer because my best suggestion would be to get both and try them out. The BGN (72) is here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/w...737ba21b0819893872a305aebd502692faa8662ceacaf

Cool site, I've never actually been there before. LOL, I see they have the same chart.

BTW, if you decide you really want that BGP needle, try SUDCO or Carb Parts Warehouse. They are the distributors for Keihin parts in the US. Everyone else buys from them.

Dude that site u listed is a paypal account.I seen no carb info on there.so what ur saying is I need a bgn from jets r us?ill go witb ur suggestion of a 72 since its getting cool here.

Hey while we are on the subject its getting cool here 80s in the day 50s at night and I ride day and night will these 72s be ok for this weather?I'm ready to ride this bike been tears since I rode a dirt bike!

You will have to be the judge. Keep an eye on the plug. Having a smaller needle will richen the mid compared to the top, but it won't have any effect on the top end or mixture overall. That will take a larger main, of course.

Well I've been tinkering and cleaning and when I did a compression test I inspected the plug to give me an idea as to how this beast ran last time it did run and it looks great!so i m hoping all I need is this carb needle and a basic overall tune up new plug and fluids.been sitting all summer the guy said and I kicked it 3 times and got 165psi.I'm going to put a shot of premix oil down the plug hole and see how much she jumps.any other tips or ideas you can think of while I'm waiting on parts let me know.

Jets r us don't have the needles where else can I get them before the weekend?now I'm desperate I'm trying to get this going for the weekend.I even took vacation time to get this going.
