hey guys, im putting some gsxr rear brakes on my quad they look like this

i just need some help, how should i mount up the cylinder to the brake pedal, pics would really help of what your setup looks like, thanks

yea you would probably have to cut the old cable bracket off and weld a new one to the frame for the master cylinder and then cut the end of your pedal off and weld a straight peice on (to fit between the little fork on the master cylinder). if you can look at the setup on any 03+ blaster that will help alot because the master cylinders are very similar ao you can just make yours look just like those. but for the caliper i guess just get creative....

why dont you just ebay the 03+ rear brake and componets and mount it up instead? sounds a lot easier that way.

well it would definetely be easier that way but it would cost way more money than buying streetbike brakes. i think street bike brakes are the cheapest way to convert to hydro (and they work good too, if they can stop a bike going over 100 mph they can stop a blaster) , but rapor/warrior/banshee brakes or any other fourwheeler brakes are still cheaper than oem or aftermarket blaster brakes

exactly, thanks vforceblaster, street bike brakes are way cheaper, as low as $30 and have amazing stopping power, blaster brakes cost as much as $250. MY dad is a fabricator and can make a bracket, and it will bolt right up to the carrier, i would deff spend $30 over $250

yea im buying some rear hydro brakes soon and im definetley buying bike brakes. good luck making them work maybe you could post some pics when your all finished that would be cool
