how to tell if your blaster is stolen?

so i was just thinking after i spent all the dough on my blaster.how in the hell would i know if the guy i bought it off of stole it then sold it to me?
it would be a f*cking hunting trip to find out the blaster was stolen and i spent 1800 on it and have to give it up eh

was just on the yamaha site. if you sign up and try to add a vehicle to your account, it askes for vin. that could help, or hurt you. lol not sure. other then that your local DMV can help im sure

I belive the VIN is underneath and in front of the stator cover on the frame.

Seems as easy as:

1). does the seller have the title to the blaster?
2). is the title in the seller's name
3). does the vin on the title match the vin on the blaster's frame.

Am I missing something here?
