How much do you think this quad is worth honestly?

2002 Yamaha Blaster
-Brand new Piston kit with fresh bore installed and now has five hours on it
-Really clean Toomey B1 Racing Exhaust system
-New Uni High Flow Air Filter
-Motion Pro rear brake cable that eliminates the parking brake cable
-New Front wheel bearings
-New Grips
-Comes with optional twist throttle
-New Clutch Cable
-FMF Shocks Covers
-Brand new Kenda Bear Claw Tires for the Rear
-Brand new Pro-Trac Radial Tires on Front

Everything is perfect on this quad down to the chain rollers.

FINALLY someone posted a quality thread about selling their quad!!! You included the modifications, specs, AND PICS! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I say you could get probably $1000 for it. That may vary though upon location. But it looks very clean and built well.

Thanks man, that means a lot! Also do you like to red accents? or do they just look dumb.

I think they look great! The bumper is kinda too much accent though lol. If you did the hubs red, maybe the rear sprocket, painted the rear rims gloss black and touched up the fronts with gloss black, I bet you'd get +$200 more.

I agree, I have another front bumper that I painted black, so this weekend I will be doing some painting! haha

Thanks. Everybody who votes! Please tell me what I can do to bring more money for it like Triple B did!

I'm with Triple_B...a few tasteful bits of paint here and there will make it really stand out from all the average Blasters you see for sale out there.

I'd say your Blaster is well worth at least $ 1,000.00 to the right buyer, and if you wait long enough (especially this close to Xmas), you'll probably get it! I'd ask $ 1,300.00 after some paint work and take the best offer. Good looks won't sway a Blaster expert like most people here on the forum, but average Joe (no offense to awk on here...he's FAR from average! lol) will be more likely to pay more for a bike that looks flashy than for one which needs paint.

Also, I'd be sure there's at least a 310 main jet in the carburetor so that the engine runs at its best. If you happen to stilll have the stock headlight and bracket, I'd put it back on for the sale. Somebody might be more likely to jump on the deal if the Blasty has a working headlight. You could also rock that red front bumper if you painted a couple other parts to match. Maybe paint up the kicker and shift levers and both foot pegs to start off.

Oh, and make sure that the front brakes are well-adjusted. Nothing makes a potential buyer more likely to hand over money than a clean ATV which stops properly (that is, both front wheels grab at the same time).

not gonna get more with just cosmetic things
porting, + swinger and + a-arms would be the only reason i'd pay more
some yfz heelgaurds for cheap would help

That said, definately paint the rear wheels to match the fronts. It will look a LOT better that way. Also, I'd be sure there's at least a 310 main jet in the carburetor so that the engine runs at its best.

Alright so the wheels are a must to paint. I was going for black rims with red hubs. I think I have a headlight kicking around somewhere in my garage. I thought it looked bad with it on but maybe its usefulness will bring some buyers. I also have that 310 in there, needle second clip from the top and cleaned the crap out of that carb with a gas soak for 24 hours along with a q-tipmcleaning everywhere. I also took the airlid off. It runs beautifully!

Front brakes feel like a dream! I spent a long time cleaning them and adjusting them so they stop DEAD EVEN! Its amazing! I:I Rear brakes also stop it quite well being stock and all.

Thanks for the input! I will certainly put it to use and post some pics later!

Oh and awk, of course motor work and suspension would add value in your eyes because you are smart and know what you are looking for. Other people might not care how well the motor works as long as it runs, they loves them a good lookin quad. haha

Sounds like you're on the right track! Good luck with the sale, BTW!

Oh, one more thing... If you haven't disabled the TORS system, I'd do it before putting the Blasty up for sale. There's no need to buy a removal kit, but unhook the electrics so that there's no need to worry about something screwing up when a buyer comes to look. I've been there...had one running perfectly all day long and then something freaky happened when the guy came out to look at it and it wouldn't start.

It seems like it is working fine. I will follow the instructions on here and see if I can unhook it properly. Shouldn't hurt!

Why are you selling it?

I really wish I wasn't! I run a "business" of buying broken quads and fixing them up. I bought a blaster that needed a new top end for 300. I found a rolling frame with the four new tires for 100. I bought the exhaust for 200. Everything else I found for about 100 total.

I have these machines that need to be fixed in my garage.

-01 Suzuki Quadrunner 250 that needs new shafts.
-02 Yamaha Warrior that has a frozen crank bearing.
-95 Yamaha Blaster with several holes and cracks in the case due to a piston skirt breaking off.
-98 Honda CR 250 that needs to be put back together all the way.
-Blaster rolling frame that I completely took apart to repaint.
-06 Sportsman 90 I am fixing for my client.

I need the money for parts! haha I will probably keep this other blaster when I am done having the case fixed.

I would eather change the front bumper eather to black or silver. Also change the colot of the front rims to silver to match the hubs or paint the hubs to black to match the rims. what ever color the fronts are the rears should match I find that people are more comfortable buying something that has all matching parts/colors it gives it a certain sort of finess. I not crazy about the back break petal being red. Also Armor alling or using black magic tire spray on the tires making them look like theyre newer than they are helps considerably. It gives the new owner the feeling this is a new to me feeling, and there are no hang ups no lingering doubts.
That and I noticed and it seams to me that the brake lever is bent forward a bit it may be a good idea to streighten it back some.
if you do this I can see you getting a lot of calls on it. I'd say $1300 and let it ride

I say 600-800 for someone with knowledge of these little snappy monsters! More if you find a sucker..errr inexperienced person. Good luck with the sale bro! Hope it goes fast for ya!
