hi, my names James i will hopefully be getting a 03 blaster w/240 kit soon for 400 bucks and it just needs a fresh bore and a new piston. Im really excited to have a new project and im sure that i will find all of my help here. i've been on this site for a week now and its helped me research a lil bit more about the bike. Welcome. Nice deal your getting! Make sure its a real 240 piston though and not bored .040 over.

he said he will also throw in a stock jug that will need a bore/hone. and hes already got the 240 in it but how could i tell if its a true 240 without using a bore gauge?

compare the 240 piston to the one in the stock jug. The 240 one will be alot bigger. Welcome to the forum also

the cooling fins should look differnt than stock. You could also ask him for the recite(sp?) of the bb, if he is smart he will have it.
