Failed Leakdown test

Ya need to spray your crank seals for bubbles. hopefully it's a seal. If you replace the seals and it still won't hold pressure it's probably leaking internally. I suspect crank seal.

that would be internasl stacks, after you get the clutch cover off i think its possible to spray around the seal to see if its leaking ????

Im not sure if I want to spray soapy water into it... the more I think about it the worse of an Idea it sounds. I might just swap in some new ones and run another test

yeah, the soapy water won't hurt anything you're not putting much in there.

and like they said before, its inside, question, was the piston broken when it came apart before?

and i'm a huge advocate for using real yamaha seals, the cheapo kits that are on ebay etc are just lacking to me in the quality department

i do believe the stock seals have the spring in them and A/M ones dont, so yamaha seals all the way !!!!!! along with base gaskets !!!!!
