I have a cracked crank case where the clutch pedal inserts unfortunately. I dont know if I should attempt to fix this myself or just take it to the shop. I was unsuccessful in finding a repair manual locally. I'm not afraid to tear into it and just wanted to see what I was getting myself into.

jsut put a small piece of ducttape over it, mabey 2 or 3" long. haha just playin, you can either try some jb weld or get a whole new case which would require a few special tools and changeing everthing in that case ove rto the new one.

It's no big deal.
Sand the paint off the area that is cracked , wipe it down with some acetone or lacquer thinner and put some JB weld on it- the quik steel kind not the liquid.
