My blaster came with a twist throttle. Not really digging it for the type of riding I do (mostly alpine type riding with hills and turns etc).

I know I need a thumb throttle assembly, but what about the part where the handgrip goes? Is there another piece I need to get?

Well, I ordered a thumb throttle assembly off Ebay. I already have TORS deleted, so I just got the box and the cable (In case I need that)

Maybe Ill keep the twist throttle if I feel like I want it later on. It doesnt seem very complicated to change.

I had no idea such a thing even existed.

I already ordered the stock blaster throttle. I adjusted my twist throttle today, Ill give it a shot and see how I like it next time Im out riding. If I dont like it Ill put the thumb throttle on.

Hi
Well you will need ATV style grips too.
The (mototcycle style) twist throttle grips have larger inside diameter
on the right than on the left because of the throttle tube.
ATV type are same diameter left and right

Hmmm. Not sure what throttle and cable you ordered, but just in case, you should know that the stock cable won't fit a TORS deleted carb. There is a diff end on the carb side than what you would use for a TORS removed stock mikuni or aftermarket carb.

And Paulie, don't you think that Cabela's throttle is kinda cheesy? There's an awful lotta plastic there.

Yeah, that Cabela's throttle crap is the gayest thing I've seen for a quad.

I've seen a combo throttle somewhere that was pretty cool, but it was also made out of metal and cost about $150.

Luni, the twist throttle cable won't do it. Twist and thumb cables are different. You might try to defray your costs by selling the whole assy. here or on eBay.

Ill just pick up a new throttle cable for tors removal. Mine is all burned from sitting on the exhaust anyway. I think the previous owner before my girlfriends dad put the wrong cable on there (its too long, and it rests on the pipe and has burned away the sheathing.

Your thinking of the duel gasser.
