need opinions/help
my girl was usin the puter during the steeler game on sunday. and new not to bother me while i was watchin the game, somehow she got one of tthem spyware type "scanning ur hardive" deals goin on, it wouldnt stop or turn off, so instead of callin me, she unpluuged it and pulled the battery.
then it wouldnt reboot, and now after using the recovery disc's twice,
it still wont fire, it looks like the recovery is workin, goin to 100% each time, ejects the disc, asks for a reboot, then nuthin,
black screen with little cursor in upper right corner, no response to any keys ???
it's a 1 and 1/2 year old dell insperon laptop running
windows xp , zero troubles till now ???
im thinkin the harddrive fried ??? but if so, why does it take the recovery discs ?????
thoughts appreciated, im on my phone right now. so i'll check back from time to time, but wont be on to immedietly answer
specific questions, bare with me though
