as some of u know, i had a little issue with a violent roll over last weekend that ended with a trip to the ER, (thought the ribs were broken) and thankfully everything came back negative just severly bruised but anyway. the next good part is the wife tells me its time to get a chest protector, so i picked up 1 brand new for 60 bucks on fleabay, just wondering if anyone uses them, if they are comfortable or annoying or if they really do help, all i know that i wish i was wearing 1 last week

I used to wear one then i grew out of it and never really got a new one. I didn't find it annoying until it was to small for me. It mainly helped when i was following close behind somebody that was too slow, because i would get pelted with rocks. But i never crashed with one so i couldn't tell ya if it helps or not there. Hope urs fits good I:I

the one i have is oldskool style,it used to be my dads, and it kinda is too big for me so it bothers the f*ck around me cuz it bounces, but when i use my bros chest protector i really dont feel it. it cool too being fully equipped, you feel race ready lol

idk a chest protector is just to keep rocks from hiting your chest from someones roost not so much when you fall

OK honestly i think they arent annoying at all i like wearing mine cuz you feel more protected and do more stuff and i think they look pretty cool, i have a fly chest protector i like it what kind is yoursI:I

I used to wear one while racing. I ended up touching wheels with a guy and flew off my quad. Landed in the middle of the track around a blind corner and had another quad run right over me. The quad was either a 250r or 400ex and it only had a few inches of ground clearance. My helmet and chest protector were all scratched up. You could even see where the sprocket and brake rotor went across the chest protector. I ended up going to the hospital and the dr said that I had a bruised chest wall and if I hadn't been wearing the chest protector it would have been alot worse.

i wont ride with out one cause when that quad lands one you youll feel the blow but the worst that normally happens is you get the wind knocked out of you me and all my friends use to race till we all got worn out and started to have joints replaced now it just hurts to bad but my buddy was coming down a straight and his throttle stuck and he hit a concrete wall upside down back first and his chest protector saved him from a broken back it was at and indoor supercross style race in akron ohio

i only were mine if i drag race my friends cuz we ride on alot of gravel...an sometimes i dont get the best start an am always getting beamed with pebbles...my gloves have rips everywere from'em...
