I know everyone has their own preference in the whole o-ring/non-ring chain world

But does anyone know how the different tensile strengths and wear ratings work?

Basically I'm looking for a chain for my honda. I'm going with a renthal steel front sprocket and am considering a supersprox hybrid sprocket for the rear. It's aluminium with steel teeth.
Here is the link to that: http://www.motosport.com/supersprox-stealth-rear-sprocket?mmy=honda;crf250r;2006

I absolutely despise aluminium rear sprockets, and being as I probably wont replace it again on my bike, this is one of my best options other than the price tag.

Anyhow, onto the real question. Which is better?
this chain ($170) has tensile strength of 8650 and wear index 3100

this chain ($95) has tensile strength 7644 and wear index of 750

I have done a little scavenging on the web and have yet to find any good answers

I run X- ring chains. All the strength with none of the resistance. The last one I bought was made by Pro Taper believe it or not. No, to little stretch in three years. Let me know if you need one and I'll hook you up.

The Renthal Z-ring chains I'm using on my Blaster and Banshee have a claimed tensile strength of 8093 and are $85 a $102 at Bikebandit.

Most chains are in the 7600-8500 for tensile strength, although their wear index varies from 450-3500

For our blaster we went with o-ring chains and I'm not sure why.
We ordered an x-ring chain for my dads bike this fall and that so far has been pretty good, although aluminum sprocket

I think I'm going to order this DID x-ring chain for the bike. Wear index is much higher than any other chains at this price

I looked into protaper because a friend of mine can get stuff 50% off from them. That's how my dad and I both bought our fatbars and some other items.
