I don"t know???????
I have been spending the last 2 weeks trying to get my blaster running right and my problem was a bad CDI. After i got the new CDI in and tuned the carb it was running AWESOME! For about 30 min, then it started to run rough and shaky and sounding funny! :o Now i dont want to look at my blaster for 2 month! X(

I saw this! :o Broken cylinder stud and case bolt! :o:o

Broken cylinder stud:o

damn doug, that really sucks...again.
you've had nothing but sh*t for luck with that CT cylinder.
i think it's time to count your losses, sale that POS, and get a stock cylinder ported for yourself.

i guess this means no bronco on the mountain next weekend ?

I went for a walk today and i found one of the studs with nut! it looks like the stud broke about 2 threads deep in to the bolt!

I have been thinking about getting out my old stock cylinder and getting it ported B). I also have been thinking about being a guinea pig for 8-|>>>> Blaster 265cc 75mm Big Bore Kit Sleeve Piston Triple Port Cylinder Head Wossner | eBay

he has a +4 crank, but think he's been guinea pig enuf with this cylinder
stock ported is the way to go !

and yes, that blue pointer hole takes a case halve bolt

Big bore isn't the problem. Are you 100% positive that they weren't over torqued? If so maybe they started shearing but didn't completely snap off until everything expanded and put pressure on them. I can't see two studs snapping off as a fault of the cylinder. It is probably EXACTLY the same thickness and everything else of the stock cylinder on those tabs where the stud goes through.

not cause bolts broke, but also wht he put in the other thread about it.... and its way tooo expensive for +40 cc's IMO

Maybe this particular CT cylinder yes. But not all big bores. I have ran 2 Blasters with 240 Vito's for MANY miles and not had much of a problem with either. No more problems with them than the stock bores. I have seen some CT cylinders running awesome for years and years. Either this is a rare occurrence with CT kits or their products are REALLY suffering now.

yuuuup, no doubt.
i've never bashed any of the 240 cylinders before.
trashed a few on the trails :)
but i was talking straight to doug about this cylinders past problems.
every other year he misses my ride because of this cylinder

I wasn't aware of the previous problems with it. I would part with it too by now if it is really that much trouble. As for big bores, they are nice on these smaller motors but they aren't everything. I toast a 480R on my 450 all the time.
