blew my clutch today!

UGHHHHHH!!! I got my blaster out the van up the trail to the beach , hit the gas on the beach, bang through the gears and then nothing!!!
bike runs and when i put it in gear it feels like it wants to move but won't..... has to be the plates gonna change them and see what happens.....
do i need any specific tools to do this?
also anyone know why this would of happened or its bound to happen on evry bike?

I converted to ford type F tans fluid for all my 2 stroke gearboxes about 1 1/2 yrs ago...its cheap and the clutch action is great and I change it about every 6 hrs.

yeah, the clutch isnt that hard to do, recently done mine :) check the springs for length and if there out of spec, may aswell get some new ones with the clutch kit, soak them for a while then install alternating friction plates with steel plates, ensuring that the friction plates end up either end. make sure that the dampner is the 2nd friction plate in from the outside. Also may aswell check everything else is ok while your in there I:I check the clutch gear for play against the clutch basket, check both pressure plates for wear, the gears for chips Etc :) then new gasket, bolt her back up, fill with 650Ml oil and your ready to tear it up again I:I
