blaster wont move when running

My son lost one of the nuts on big carriage bolt under rear axle during riding (i guess) and the chain loosened and jumped off. Upon further inspection i noticed a fresh gouge next to front sprocket on housing. Maybe the chain wedged in there and popped the teeth on sprocket?

Hopefully it didn't break through the case! :(

It does sound like the clutch is crap! If that's all it is that is an easy cheaper fix than broken gears!
Here are acouple threads to look over before you get working on the clutch ignore the first post in that first thread as the pics are missing!

ya it definitely sounds like a clutch problem to me since you got it running again, my buddy had a similar problem about 2 years ago. after installing rand new cluth plates etc... it ran fine.

It could be as simple as your clutch plates being in the basket the wrong way. I just did a full rebuild top and bottom (all wiseco performance ! ) started it up put her in gear and it acted like it was in neutral. I checked in the clymer manual and put the clutch plates in the right order and that was it. If your clutch goes in too easy then that's probably your problem. Or like they said your clutch is just fried !
