didn't make it to nationals. screwed up and ordered the wrong size sprocket. was way to big to fit the axle. got it rigged up though and thought it would be strong enough to make it thru the weekend but I was wrong. only lasted about ten min while practicing at a friends house. it was too small anyways. so the 3rd rear sprocket is on the way. turns out no one makes one for out size of kart axle ( 1 1/4) so had to order a 30mm one and then ill have it drilled out to 1 1/4. had to order it from Germany, turns out none of the shifter kart guys in the states use a 30mm axle. they all use 40mm or 50mm. learning a lot about this stuff as I go. only problem is its getting expensive and the race season is flying by.

I emailed sprocket specialists last thurs. still haven't heard back. fingers crossed that I get the sprocket from ebay tomorrow.

Finaly got the blaster going today. my boy got a couple hours of practice in today. looking pretty good on it and pretty quick. He loved it. Loves shifting, ha. We ve got races tomorrow and sunday. ill put up a bunch of pictures and videos

thanks a lot guys. ya he loves it. really likes having a shifter over a cvt. rear brakes don't work at all. hoping to get that all figured out this week

grrr. so my 10 year old moves his quad to the side using the grab bar and the thing just breaks off. I bought it new and the quad has been run twice. also noticed but a terrible job of powder coating that got done on it. chipping off already

thanks, the kid that was out front has an awesome quad. his dad built the frame, swing arm, a arms, the whole thing himself outta chrome moly and based on 250r geometry, im real jealous of that one

Like Blaaster said, If he would have got a better start he would be up front. He made a nice pass there on the inside. He surely is going to give the kid with the custom frame a run for his $$ next race..

pretty much the only rule is engine cant be bigger than 90cc 2 stroke or 125 4 stroke

That is one killer rig. I can;t wait to see some videos after he gets used to it. He is going to be the one to chase down. Nice build.
