Blaster cr80 flat tracker

Our flat track season is over. My boy finished 3rd in oval and 3rd in tt. Its been a great year. We had real good turn outs at every race and lots of very fast kids. Now we have a few months to tear it down, give it a good cleaning and fix anything broken before the Ice racing season starts.

Awesome. Glad your kid had a blast. But who had more fun? You or your son? Lol glad it worked out and next year let's hope for a number 1 plate.

oh no, not first year racing. this is our 3rd full season. and our busiest season of racing. oldest boy 2nd in motocross (kx65). flat track 3rd oval (blaster) 3rd tt (blaster) 3rd tt (kx65) and 2nd in harescramble. youngest was 3rd in motocross (quad) flat track 4th (quad). and my wife flat tracked and finished 4th in tt (400ex)

Offset boring is setting the carb up in the lathe chuck so that when the boring takes place no material is removed from around the area where the fuel enters the air stream.

If one just reams out the hole to make it larger often the emulsion tube when fitted stands proud of the bored surface and adds an obstruction to airflow which may create eddy currents, and can marr fuel delivery.

I've never bored carbs, just because fuel metering is a very precise thing, won't want to mess with that!
Thanks

Bore the guts out of the venturi, air speed decreases, makes for troublesome jetting.
