The kit would be shipped any where in the USA for $15; and that includes insurance.
Yes that is a Blaster dyno pull; you can make that much power; with the correct porting, cylinder head design and exhaust pipe. You will not make those numbers without using a Vito's fat bastard or a power pros pipe. If you install a FMF, Toomey, or any other, forget about making big power at high RPM...
Horsepower=TQ X RPM/5252

hoping you can help me figure some things out. been planning to upgrade to a ported 240 kit but im running a fmf fatty pipe and planning to upgrade that sooner or later also a stock carb.

1. would it even be worth getting the 240 kit now if im not going to be able to upgrade the pipe and carb for a while(probably next spring?

2. if i'd get it and run it now would i still be able to have it ported to match the pipe when i get a new one or would i need a whole new kit for it to run right?

im not trying to build a race quad or anything. i just want to build a nice fast respectable blaster. everyone around here are riding stock raptor 660's, yfz450's, and 400ex's and talk sh*t on blasters like they are the chevy chevette of the quad world. i just want something that wont fall too far behind them and show them blasters arent just a kids quad.

I would set the porting to match the Vito's fat bastard pipe. I am not sure what pipe you plan on buying, but for most people I woulld use the Vito or power pros pipe. I would take the rest of the Blaster pipes out there and toss them in the scrap bin.
To get the most out of the cylinder, you would need to upgrade to a 35mm carb and the pipe.

Thanks

i understand your views on the pipes and that but the main question was, is it even worth getting the 240 kit now if im not going to be able to get the pipe and carb for another 2-3 months.

i know i need the pipe and carb to get the most out of it but will it still run right without the pipe and carb just not to its full potential?

i'd buy all at once but thats $1100 in one chunk and i usually only have $400-$600 at one time. so i was thinking i would get the 240 kit now and get the carb and pipe within the next 2-3 months. if not ill probably get the kit anyway i guess and just keep running my stock setup and wait till i get the pipe and carb then throw it all on at once.

thats what id do, just buy it all peice by peice then put it all on once you have it all! And no, it wont run at its potential without the pipe and carb, but it will run decent! you should also throw a 3mm stroker in with that kit!

i thought about the 3mm stroker but i'd rather not have to have a shop do it and me and my buddy arent real sure of splitting the bottom end open to work on it. also pretty sure i'd have to have something done to the head to make it work? running out of funds also lol sunk 1300 in it in the past month and should be spending another $1000 this week to get new tires and rims the whole way around and a 240 kit. shoulda bought a banshee lol if only i'd had all the cash at once instead of 500 here and 500 there. never was any good at saving lol

The head will be modified with the 240cc kit to fit a 72mm piston.
The head would also need to be modified for a 3mm crank.
I would install a crank for anyone for $75, that includes cutting clearance for the rod. I would only do it for that price if the bottom end show up CLEAN!
