I'm wanting to paint my kick start, back brake lever, shifter, and foot pegs, but I don't know how to do it so they will look good and last. Any help would be great. Oh yeah I want to paint them red.

Thanks

Forget paint. Get them powdercoated. Everything you do to that kickstarter and foot pegs is just going to ware off. Around my me it would probably cost me $60 or $75 for all that. Just search around your area for some powdercoaters or contact Djackson, or Timsyfz. They both do powdercoating and do good work.

70 buck for powder or 12 for spray bomb and if it wears off paint it again my .02

Its not 70 for the powder itself, and plus everyone has there own prices. It cost me $35 for 2 pounds of my powder that i used on the raptor. You wouldnt even use a whole pound on those parts. Why keep the hassle of taking the parts off, prep them, clean them, and what not only for it to chip off over and over again? Why not just get it done right the first time? For whatever price, id have it done the right way, the first time.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to find a powder coater and do it that way rather than keep painting them.

Thanks again.

ya powder coating is good for parts that come in constant contact with moving objects like feet. i think for frames though, spray bombing is the best, cuz then you can still see stress cracks.

Thanks again for the help everyone. I found a powder coater in my area and I was wondering if $40 is a good deal to powder coat my kick start, pegs, and brake pedal red.:-/
