I may paint the rings black like the one guy since mine are chewed up good. I may even use bed liner, since I have a can as that's what I used when I was redoing my mini chopper and pitbike last year... will try to work on them tomorrow then get tires mounted and see how they look on the bike :D not sure if that will all go down tomorrow tho. we'll see.

I busted out the painters tape and regular masking tape and realized how much I hate taping so rigged it on the fly lmfao....

I think I've come a long way from last year LOL still can't find a blaster that's in need of work.. but I will when I'm ready I suppose.. gonna build a trail rig that is a beast I hope.

both outter rings done with one coat of bedliner...

I hit the outter lip of the one on the right, so I'll hit the other one too. but I may have to redo that when I get tires mounted up due to scuffing/scratching it off... I also still want to get the wheel a little more polished. we'll see...

Looks good man. I am curious about how well that bedliner will hold up. The paint on mine chipped pretty easy. That is why I stripped the one and was thinking about polishing instead. Bedliner may be a better idea. By the way I used a 10" paper plate inside to prevent over spray off the inside. Just cut a small wedge out of it and I was able to shape it like a funnel to get it in and then pushed it up to the back side of the rings from the other side of the rim.

I don't think it will hold up much at all. but I'm not all that worried about it. once I put them on they will get beat up and polishing them was a big waste of time as well lol. it's fun while it lasts and this finish I can redo myself so it's not a big deal...

powder coating is really one of the best ways along with anodizing to have a lasting finish, but even those get alot of wear. I just wanted that custom look lol. I'm doing it on a budget, hopefully I can sell them locally later if I decide to for what I got into them...

i didn't know that doughlas made a baha i have itp which are better
What makes the ITPs better? They are essentially the the same wheel as far as I can see.

I think they look good and that bedliner is tough as nails on truck beds. Its actually a pretty good idea. I was thinking about using it on my pegs and nerfs. Biggest problem I had with the painted rings was chipping. I think that bed liner stuff drys more like rubber (kinda flexible) doesnt it? If so it should be more resistant to chipping. I might just give it a try myself. I really liked the look with the black rings but just didnt want them to look like crap after the first ride.

I think he was askin and juss has pretty poor delivery of what he was trying to say...

Yeah, they r rubbery I supposed compared to paint. I think they can still scratch off

got a set of rockouts, used for a decent price, so slapped my holeshot SXs on them this morning.. never knew how easy it was to mount atv tires by hand. now for setting the bead lmfao... tried wd40 and a lighter but it didn't work LOL think the guys on youtube used some kind of flamable foam, gonna watch it again and see if I can try it again, then it's conventional style with a rachet strap and compressor... this is the 1st time I've set tires by myself by hand. I've seen it done but didn't really do much besides step on a corner lol

tired to make a vid, but forgot to press record til after I finished... took me about 5-10 minutes per tire max... the tire cleaner is what I used to lube the rim and tire...
