Back to the Dublife !

Love them badges. Looks like your going big on this car. Putting a lot of work into it.

vw's were my first addiction even before blasters,
ever since my first '88 fox completely smoked my buddies v6 firebird
i can't count how many hondas and neons my '90 GLI outran :D
and since i didn't need to rebuild/mod much on my blasters this past season.....
time to mod this rice killer I:I

Time for some NOS. lol.

i'd do the belt driven supercharger from a g60 carrado vr6
before i did NOS

forgot to get pics in the sun before throwing them in my basement for the night.

now the bad....the hood looks like a fat girls cottage cheese azz
the sanding my buddy did was horrible, we even resanded after each of the 2 coats of primer.
but black shows everything, and that it did.
gotta decide if i'm going to throw more time an $ at sanding it completely down, or have a local company chemical dip it to bare metal ?
or...........
buy a 48x60" sheet of carbon fiber wrap to hide the cheese and call it done :)

I would do the CF wrap on the hood. That would look nice. Do the hood in CF wrap then add a big flat black Wolfburg logo on the hood.

idk bout carbon fiber, might be to ricey, id just drop it off at a paint shop or something and call it good

got a young buddy who takes auto body in school, be a senior this year, has been working and doing nice paint work for a few years now at a local shop.
called him before i even attempted any paint, but he's at his uncles in VA until next week.
definately an option, but going to cost me more now that I F'd it up

ready for inspection and new title............

resanded the hood to a flat look and sprayed the temp grill flat black until my badgless grill arrives.
what to do with the hood is still undecided ?

called the guy who does the enhanced inspection for the new title, he's at the beach until thursday.
prolly on the road by next week.
took it around the block a few times today, purrs like a kitten and drives as it should.
even a slight press of the pedal and you can tell it wants to run
can't wait to put my foot into it :)

got my 4 pics needed to turn in with the paperwork for the reconstructed title....
