exactly...... the sleeper look I:I i wanna turbo my ford ranger no one would guess, except its got no muffler so its loudddddd.
damn u awk makes me miss my 04 vr6 gli. was building it into a vr6t. then where I worked at closed there doors without warning an lost my job for over a yr an then lost the car

just grabbed a core support, hood, grill, bumper foam, a/c condenser and compressor (even though i don't need a/c stuff)
all for $100
all i need is a bumper cover yet.
gonna try to pull that frame rail tomorrow.

that license plate is sweet..... wonder if we could do some stickers in a simliar fashion for blaster...... or 2-stroke
I didn't schedule any work today to work on the jetta,
and of course it rained hard all day
which left me one option........
ghetto body shop:
the thing actually fits perfectly over the whole car, we ended up cutting out the torn screen section and flipping it to just cover the front end, and worked all day in the rain
the frame rail end was beyond pulling out, so it got cut off and will be replaced by a salvage yard frame end, or i'll make one myself ?
the remaining part pounded right back to square and straight after i took this pic
i actually found a piece of box steel i have laying around that is the same thickness metal, and fits right into the frame rail, just gotta drill out the spot welds of the factory end to remove it from the accordian and weld it to the new piece, if i don't like the outcome, a salvage yard frame end will go on.
got both rads mounted into the new core support, and it's ready to bolt on once the frame rail is done.
the new hood is mounted and adjusted.
it needs some tlc on both corners, but is otherwise straight, the clear coat is peeling like it had been splashed with brake fluid. it may only be temporary if another better shape hood pops up ?
or may get covered with carbon fiber wrap ?
the slightly pushed back drivers fender popped right back into place once i loosened the top frame bolts.
while transferring the sprayers to the new hood, i found this thing has heated windsheild washer sprayers, never heard of that before ?
and also found out the "ASC" button on the dash is traction control
and of course it rained hard all day

Looks like you got a good bit of work done. If you need that frame piece, let me know. Ill see what I can do.
May be buying a VW myself. There's a Turbo one at work we just got in. I think it's a jetta. Haven't had time to check it out . Ill get a pic of it tomorrow.

if you could cut it off where i have the arrows,
that will leave me enuf to cut/trim and slide into the existing before welding it on.

hey awk my nephew has a silver 2.0 02 I belive I think that hes parting out. all the damage was water to bottom side n it all got vacuumed out right away an the guy he got it from lost the title I ask him if theres anything u need pry send u pics too

i see shipping qoutes on ebay of $165 for larger body pieces...hood/bumper covers ect., as the size requires freight shipping ?
