Another engine

with us PA boys bombing him with bad crank and busted piston, shattered case motors, i'm sure he's another 2 weeks behind on his own stuff,
thanx bossman !!!!!!

For Sure! Nothing like destroying a motor he spend many many hours on and countless days of phone calls. I need kicked!! 8-| My pledge:

I promise to properly do the heat cycles and jet the motor during the fist tank of gas, and most importantly use my ass dyno to tune to perfection! AMEN

The bottom end is together, The cylinder is bored, the head is done, and the degree wheel is on the crank. Should be a couple more weeks. Clearing out the bike stuff but the machine work is pinned now and I need to do it. Tarmo is building +4 swingers and asking me tons of questions. I keep telling him the same thing " How the F$%# are you ever going to learn anything if I have to keep figuring stuff out for you"? I want him to do it his way, not mine. I think he'll have a few done by the end of next week. He plans on going into full production by December. He's got some pretty interesting ideas.

The 240 +4 is done and going inoto the Blaster on Friday night. I ordered the pipe and we'll see how everything works together. I'm stoked!!! Pics to come soon. The exhaust port is on the low side but I want to see how this cylinder works before I go balls out. I'm going to take small steps into the pipe to see where she wants to be. Talked to a bunch of pipe builders over the last few weeks and they were all a bunch of help. Rider report coming soon. Not going with a right hand bend!!!!!! Bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

sweet cant wait to hear the oconner ass dyno report!! lol

what advantage would the long rod have? your using a spacer plate with this setup? i thought one of the advantages of longer stroke was decreased crankcase volume. this long rod would go against that right?

the blaster already has a larger bore to stroke ratio, the big bore increases it. Therfore as it rotates you loose energy to rod angle. A steeper rod angle pushes better and has decreased side loading on the piston. Also, with a plus 4, you can easily go 2mm into the head so no spacer plate is needed, however with a 5mm longer rod, you can use a plate in combination with porting to achieve desired timing. the longer rod and decreased angle can increase dwell.. on the negative side you are increasing case volume
