Ace's workout thread.

is it where you put your height, weight, and i think age into it. then hold it out with both arms and it will give you a reading?

ya i did that in high school.
we tested the results of that vs using those tool to measure the thickness of the skin on certain places of your body, like stomach, biceps, tricep and other place.

Well I can't do the exact way with the arm micrometer cause I Don't have one or the more accurate way with which is measured by water displacement in a special pool. So I have a scale that measures it by sending electrical waves through the body and measuring resistance and conductance You can't feel it and Its decently accurate

Bioelectrical impedance scales and stuff like that typically are not that accurate. To begin with, they run into a host of minor issues, but they also depend on hydration status and electrolyte levels. We have seen people off by more than 5% in a single day.......off of a baseline number that is already off. Hydro densitometry(underwater weighing) and air displacement plethysmography are still the most accurate results along with DEXA scans. None really come cheap, however you can probably get a full body comp test at a local university if they have the tools for a decent price.

Guess I should of posted this at the beginning of the thread. I weigh 168 now around 11% body fat I would like to be back were I was prior to the accident at 175 7% body fat.then my ideal goal is 185 4-7% body fat

Personally, I wouldn't steer below 7%. I was surprised when I was 7.54% and have kept it around there. We have had anorexic patients come in and they are <5% and anything under 5% is deemed unhealthy. Those shredded body builders that you see at shows are typically at 3-4% for a show weight, but they do that temporarily(still dumb) and then are back up to >7% the remainder of the time for the most part.

And... Im going to call B.S. right here 8-|

buddy if it was bs i wouldn't have even posted it, as i really hate liars or show offs. if you had contact with anybody that knows me around here you would know it's the truth. my mom, grandma, sister, sister's husband, and a few friends have watched me do it.

@acezeesawtooth i don't hold weights i just do the elevated situps theirselves, i hadn't really thought about holding weights with them. i just got a treadmill not long ago and i have now been running 1-2 miles atleast 2-3 times a week on it. do holding weights really work better and does it make it alot harder? i'd like to know a little more on it.

^^^ not harpin on ya there bro. but that seems like a little to much. gonna need to see some proof. i hope this thread takes off a little. id really like for this to work

only proof i would be able to give you is a pic and that really wouldn't prove that i do 800 elevated, but it would prove i do them. my sony camera crapped out on me about a year ago and i've been using my mom's camera (which doesn't record, i've tried numerous times to make quad and dirtbike vids)

ran/jogged 1.5 miles jumped rope, sit ups, hit the bag. few bicep curls and 2 sets of bench press. then .5 mile cool down run. today havent exercised yet but will by 9 so check back on that one guys. still working on my workout chart and calender hopefully by next week for that one

i started my workout on jan 26th (wednesday).
