91 blaster

Well it is pay check time, that means time to order more parts.
I found out my top end is stock bore so that is going one size up and i should have tomorrow.
I want to know what gasket kit is best
Also what oil seals i should use
-is there a kit that comes with all seals and gaskets?

Be careful if your not Used to Quads , Blasters have been know to be Flipped By beginners , Mainly By Dumping the clutch and flipping backwards .

We'll see how it goes, maybe all my buddies banshees will get a little less intimadating after several flips and rolls of the blaster

Finally got the quad to my garage to work, While tearing into her i find out there is a hole in the left hand case that had a crap JB Weld job. The hole is smaller than 1cm. Can i fix this easily with a welder? Also is there a gasket between the left and right side case because the moose gasket kit i ordered didnt come with a gasket for there? Last can i seperate the cases without removing the clutch basket? Reason being i took the motor out before i took out the inner clutch basket so now i have found it quite im possible to remove. I do have the flywheel/rotor and stator off but i have had major trouble removing the phillips head bolts and have one left to drill out, but ive given up for tonight.

Good deal you got on this blaster. Sounds to me like u want to fix it and ride it A.S.A.P :D

Yes that hole can be fixed with Alloy welding and then just smoothed out to a nice finish. Where in the case is this hole situated?

You are talking about the place where the two cases come together in the center? There is no gasket for it, u must get yourself some good case-bond for when u assemble the two halfs back together.

Go and watch Ken Occonor's vids where he disassemble a blaster engine completely, it will give you a much better idea of how, what when and where. I:I You can find his vids on here, just go to engine and surch it up there.

Good luck with the build bro. keep us updated

The crack is the typical, chain snapped and smashed into the case, so the position is right next to the sprocket. Alloy welding? Im a rookie welder and dont know what that means

Your casings are made out of aluminium so you can only fix it with aluminium welding. Normal welding won't work on it. If you don't have an alloy welder, best will be to take it to someone that specialize in this type of welding. :)

One other thing you will have to watch out for is those wiseco cranks, theyre made in china and i wouldn't go near them with a barge pole (that is if you are replacing the crank), however their bearing and seals kit consists of good quality KOYO bearings and good seals, i used a hot rods full bottom end kit, which includes wiseco branded seals and bearings (which are actually koyo's)

Plan on picknig up some case-bond tomorrow. So since i drilled out all the phillips screws, can i replace these with hex heads? Any links, or specs would be awesome. I looked on bike bandit trying to find out what the screws were with no luck, so all else fails i will be at the hardware store tomorrow guessing

Thank you and ordered. I can't get the crank out of the left side case. Should I hit it until t comes? I tapped lightly with no success

What ever u do... DONT HIT ANYTHING WITH A HAMMER!!!
There are tools to use for what you wana do. like Blaaster said, use a crank puller. Or you can make your own tools for the job :) Also don't wedge a phillips screwdriver in between the casings to try and split them.. it will cause damage and you will then probably get a leak on your casings when putting them back together.
