400ex conversion kit

We'll if you don't want to buy it then don't. I bought one because I didn't want the hassel of drilling and fitting and all the other stuff. This just in a matter of seconds

its a cool idea and very clever, but deff. not worth $32, the shop that makes them is a member here i belive. i still dont think you can beat the way i did mine, took less than 15 mins and will never wear out. but sh*t if i had $32 to just toss around i guess i woud buy one!! I:I

I'm new so please some one tell me what the benefits are to this upgrade. It seems to be really popular and some one locally has a 400ex shock on c.l. I might pick up for this.
Just not sure how big of a difference it might make.

for 32 dollars it should definetly come with the nut for the bolt...wtf. actually for 32 doll hairs it should f'in come with a rub and tugg....eh

this is a great upgrade.....it gives u 3 adjustments to make it the way u want, compression, rebound, and ur spring adjuster, twice as nice as the stock junker and abit more travel to

No question that you can fabricate something else that will work from washers or compression fittings. Also this is not a big deal if you have access to some shop equipment and can make them yourself. Shoot me an email and I'll send you the print. The idea was to help the people that can't or don't want to do this type of work. The price on Ebay is to test the water and see what the general opinion is. Do we sell kits for $31, yes. Can we sell them for less, also yes. The first place to trim some of the fat is to buy direct! Ebay gets about $4 from every kit. The second place to beat up the price is the bolt. I get these from PAP Hardware for about $4 as well. That's $8 off the top so we're down to $24 plus shipping. With that in mind, I'd like to see what what this forum thinks is a fair price.

i would say that depends on what it costs you to make em. if it costs 10 bucks to make plus 1/2 hour time then i would say $20 -$25. if it costs u less to make them then drop it to mabey $20 shipped. like i said before this is a very clever idea and i dont want to sound like im puttin it down.

$20 +shipping sounds good to me to.There is alot of people that don't have the time-skill or tools to do this. This would be a big help to them people.

20-25 doesnt sound bad. people that want the mod and cant do the modification will pay whatever is needed to make it easy.

he came up with a really good idea. all depends on the cost....also helps if you give forum member discounts...(hint hint) say you sell em on ebay for 30+shipping, sell to forum members for 20 +shipping...then people will buy direct, and ebay gets no money.....then you advertise by word of mouth or by recommendations thru posting and membership to other forums.......as long as the product is good.

just a thought.....

The kit I used to make included a new bushing for the top to use the stock bolt, plus delrin spacers and replaceable bronze bushings for the bottom with an alum spacer tube and a zerk fitting to grease it. that way you beat the bushings and not egg out the hole in the shock. That was $30 plush shipping as I machined the shock base and pressed the bushings in the bottom.

lets not forget the $$ paypal will take out if he transfers the $$ to his bank acct, there goes another couple bucks down the drain, so buying direct at a fair price is definately the way to go for a good product for guys that cant fab, maybe see if you can find them bolts at a better price online, them hardware stores get ya for sure on bolts!!!
but all in all good idea oconnor, and have some rep for responding to this and lettin the boys haggle ya down

edit.....damn, after looking at them, i really like, i already fabbed using the brass compression bushing, but these look sweet, count me in on a set when the price gets settled

Let's try this. $15.00 for a set of bushings + shipping for members of The Blaster Forum! This will not include the bolt or nut. Shipping for this should be about $3 in the US. Let me know. If you like the bushings, wait till you see the carbon fiber stuff we're working on. Oil pump covers, mag covers, tank covers. Pretty cool stuff.
