I'm new so please some one tell me what the benefits are to this upgrade. It seems to be really popular and some one locally has a 400ex shock on c.l. I might pick up for this.
Just not sure how big of a difference it might make.
No question that you can fabricate something else that will work from washers or compression fittings. Also this is not a big deal if you have access to some shop equipment and can make them yourself. Shoot me an email and I'll send you the print. The idea was to help the people that can't or don't want to do this type of work. The price on Ebay is to test the water and see what the general opinion is. Do we sell kits for $31, yes. Can we sell them for less, also yes. The first place to trim some of the fat is to buy direct! Ebay gets about $4 from every kit. The second place to beat up the price is the bolt. I get these from PAP Hardware for about $4 as well. That's $8 off the top so we're down to $24 plus shipping. With that in mind, I'd like to see what what this forum thinks is a fair price.
