Yep, that's the final straw right there

well do u think u can still make it to the practice? or even a practice? cause u have ur ama card, and all u need id to pay entree fee. i would try the track at least once if i were you, and see how u like it. but thats totally up to u. if you still want to do a practice, let me know, and ill be there.

Perhaps with the money I pick up from the blaster parts I will get a 125 bike to try out a couple practices. Just to get use out of my AMA card.

Well I will take a look tomorrow and see what's up, I should really stop posting threads after something happens. I tend to revert to part-outs a lot, still a possibility.

Nobody wants to see you give up, I think you're definitely one of the buds on here. A line from the movie Seabiscuit, "You know, you don't throw a whole life away just 'cause he's banged up a little". Seabiscuit was a thoroughbred horse back in the day. He ended up getting hurt, so bad they pulled him from a huge race, like the Kentucky Derby. Well, a few weeks, months or a year later, he ran a race, fell way behind, but by the end of the race, he won the race and shattered a record. It's a true story, not just a Hollywood movie. Point is, never give up on something because it fights back a little, just give it time to heal and then start paying attention.

And for the one who said college takes all your time, only depends on what ya go for. If you go for Engineering, your senior project could be to strip they toy down, rebuild it strong and better...all on the schools $$$. I:I I have a friend that stroked and bored his monster, dyno'd it, stretched it out....thing was bitchin! Took the HP up 30% (pretty big step for a small engine) and added a few other gadgets. He got an A for the project. Of course, out trail riding two weeks later it seized and blew up on him, but he still got an A for the course for playing with something he loved. Yeah, he sold it after that for next to nothing, but oh well, now he runs a facility in South Carolina near Myrtle Beach....he's such an ass.

its good u did, cause if u dident u would have probs had that bike up on CL already with out and movation from any of us on trying to contune and keep moving on.

Ok so wait wtf happened?

You had to have been cross threaded!

If i were you id think hard about selling it bro.Ive did that on a few projects get pissy at it and say F**K it im done then soon after its long gone i change my mind idk how old you are but take from the older guys and just give it some serious thought.I wish you lived closer id just put it together for you.

If you do decide to get rid of it though and your going to get another quad id recommend another 2 stroke and id say a BANSHEE i love this quad!fast as hell and endless mods.

I'm not that fimilliar with this part but why not get a tap and die set and make new threads or helicoil the other end to match it???
Trying to keep this on a lighter note but I bet you yelled at it a bunch and fell to your knees like all the cheasy soldiers do in the movies riht before they get shot from behind:)
If you dont find this funny I understand and apoligize

Good motivational speech there! I might just call my quad seabiscuit haha

In your very first post you said is was a stripped nut, was the shaft also ruined?

Nope, both stripped out, nut and shaft....The whole package! :p

Alright here is what happened, I threaded the nut on just fine, spun on until finger tight. Then I put the wrench on it and started tightening, after a couple turns it just didn't feel right, so I took it back off and found out it just stripped the threads right off the shaft, the nut too.

I'm not that fimilliar with this part but why not get a tap and die set and make new threads or helicoil the other end to match it???

That could work, I am going to go take a look at it now.

Actually I don't react like that, I just stepped back, held up my hands, and said "Screw it, i'm done" It would have been funny as hell to see somebody do that though! I:I

yea, I dident think so but still funny as hell like you said. I only do something like that If I go over to my cousins house playing MW3 or whatever the next bigest game is out and we've been playing all day and were making pizza's and there not ready the first time the dinger goes off just to be funny.

Alrighty I took a look at what was stripped. It's the balancer weight shaft. That's not hard to replace since I have an extra one. Just takes time to split both bottom ends to get the spare and get the stripped one out

sh*t like that happens all the time, but when everything is working like it's supposed to you realize it was worth the trouble.

see not as bad as u thought...now be careful and dont strip this one!!

Yea, just a pain in the ass to do all that again. Hopefully it won't strip this time! It wasn't my fault! lol

like you told me a "moap around for a few hours and then kick that blasters ass" I:I

I seem to remember that, sounds like a plan! :D

Yea that 15-20 minutes of run time was fun. Just imagine a full days ride without my motor crapping out would be like :o :p
