Also there is more load on the engine in 6th gear, hence plug chops are recomended 6th gear. Also that's why a clutch will slip in the higer gears but not lower.

Yes i agree on the load i have to build a leak down tester , get to my quad and go from there im not even sure what main jet i even have in this carb never looked at numbers
while a leak down test is definitely a good idea....throw a richer jet in there too!! You always want to go too rich and then back it off to be safe. running it a little on the rich side is a good idea after a top end rebuild until you have it broken in.
Ok im really not sure on size in carb i really havent looked at numbers on it.should i go up like 2 sizes ? Try it see what happens from there ? I just dont wanna keep rideong it like that
See what size you have in it now and get the next two siezes up and start with the richest. Also check that you have the rubber gasket under slide cap.
You could also check to see if any of the bolts holding the cylinder or head on are loose....if they are, that could be causing your air leak. If you've run it for a while like that (and were lucky enough not to blow it up) then you should probably pull it off and put a new set of gaskets on. If you had just rebuilt it and started it up and putted around and let it cool and then found that it was loose, tightening it up should suffice. It's hard to tell when new gaskets will be needed and when not so it's best to err on the side of caution, IMO.

If this path is correct maybe the cape won't get hit too hard. My friends that surf are pumped though!! Friends with boats that they keep in the water, not so much....but I guess insurance is paying 50% of the cost to pull and rack the boat for the storm, so that's pretty cool.
