i got a problem. did a oil block off and new piston and rings and took the thors off. bike started after all that work but now it wont. changed the coil because spark was inconsistent. still wont start. it is a stock 04 blaster. can anybody come up with something to check to help out? :-/

so you have a bad spark?
make sure you removed the TORS correctly.
also make sure you did the correct block off for the oil. too lean and it wont start.

yes key is on. thors removed properly cause i did my banshee as well. too lean i dont know if that is the case i run 40:1 ratio like everything else i have. i read you dont have to change the jet from stock which is 230

is your plug wet when you take it out?
there is three things you need to an engine to run
1) fuel
2) spark
3) compression

I think its just too rich. My Blaster backfired before I jetted it right and it almost blew my ear drums out and it didn't run worth a crap. If it was even richer I could see what it wouldn't start.

does it back fire just once after you kick it over and over and over? like a weird kerthump sound. if so this isn't good. I have experienced this twice and both times the piston was toast. just a guess though i can't see what's happening

Mine did the same thing. It ended up being that the woodruff key sheared off and the timing was wayy off. Take off the flywheel and check out your key.
