Why dose my rep not show?

I have recieved rep but it dose not show the rep in my "Rep Power" bar, but if I click on my User CP it shows that I have an extra 22 points there why is it not showing it ?

Sorry if this is a stuped question but I don't get it

Thats just the way the system works, in mine it says I have 75 rep points while my rep power is only 41.

it probably happens to everyone cuz i got 10 but it only shows 8

i already have 75 points and only 3 rep power. i read somewhere that the system takes into consideration your posts and also the length of time you have been a member.

rep power is how many points your able to give out and rep points is how many you have recieved.. at least thats how it was explained to me..

i have 124 points and rep power is 36..
it may also have to do with how many people have given you rep..
like if i give you rep 10 times your points will go up but your power wont..
