hey guys what do u think???

i know it would need some work and i dont mind that, i have almost every part for these things anyway so im not worried about that.


Yamaha Blaster

im assuming by 250cc they mean bored .05 or .5 over

i tried calling to find the year and ask a few other questions but it went to voice mail.
 
first one....$700
- 100 poorly painted plastics
- 100 bald tires
= 500 tops
 
I need help with my 01 blaster it runs fine but when I go to take off it seems to bog and have no power but after 1st gear it's fine does anyone have Any suggestions? Please help

1) Try making your own thread on this, it will get answered way faster.
2) when its in neutral, and its idling, can you rev it up? Or does it just bog? In nuetral

If it bogs when on the gas in nuetral, it may be your parking brake... I just unhooked my parking brake switch, because my switch wasnt staying pushed.

There are a million and a half different threads on jetting. The best way to get a good starting net is make a thread with your mods, location and elevation. Many people can give you a good net to start out with and plug chop.

Get yourself a leak tester, they will tell you that no matter what you want lol

yuck! dont use jet kits, put the stock needle back in on the middle slot, use the stock 32:1 pilot jet. and buy an assortment of main jets (only genuine mikuni) what are all the mods you have done o your blaster? oh yeah make sure you have yur idle set right and the float is at 21mm

I haven't done anything to it yet, just bought it at the end of last summer and it's been sitting in my neighbors garage all winter. I know it has a toomey b1 pipe and silencer, that's it as far as I know.

But I haven't even touched the carb yet.

ok good i recomend not using it. if the air lid is on and you plan on leaving it on then based on the mods you listed buy genuine mikuni main jets # 270-320 one of those should do the trick
