i have had the same blaster for about 10 yrs. the oil pump failed after a fresh vitos rebuild(seized within and hour of easy riding) 5yrs ago. now i have the money to fix it and need some input. i have searched for more info about the firebreather and all of the big bore kits but i cant figure out how much more power it will give it. i plan on port polish,+3 crank, extended a arms and swing along with shocks. i do have a toomey b1. any info and suggestions will be appreciated

1st thing you should do is get rid of the oil injector , 2nd take the top end apart and see what it looks like , maybe just a bore/hone will get you going for the time being . are you sure it was the injector? did you have an airleak ? did you ever do a leakdown test before riding/break in ? did you do a proper break in? all of these questions enquiring minds want to know , plus the " PICS OR YOUR LYING " thing is now hanging out there .....
yes i did do the leak down test and checked all the tolerances for play in the bearings.i also followed vitos break in procedure. i have had the motor apart for the past 5 yrs and threw out the piston. it gouged the cylinder too deep to hone. sorry i don't have pics but i am not bsin anyone. i do plan on blocking off the oil injector. how and where would an air leak come from to to that kind of damage.
