The day of reckoning is upon us folks, Friday night.

I'm lacking one particular thing I wished I wasn't, rear plastics. I MIGHT be able to steal my brother in laws back plastics for the night but they're UGLY with a capital UGL.

hope it all works out for ya!

I finished putting the brake caliper on last night (I know, I know procrastination!) and I can't adjust it to where it stops but won't drag.... I think the sheath I cut down is actually binding the cable and keeping the caliper locked in whenever the cable is pulled hard enough to stop. Of course, because I waited now I don't have time to rectify the problem properly so I either rig it or don't take the dragger this time..... GRRR!

well as long as they work if you absolutely need them to right? i mean if its no emergency you can coast to a stop. busco has probaby 2000' of shutdown.

yea i know Jess has run her dragger 2 diff times at our track with no brakes and coasted to a stop with a bumpy 700' shutdown. i wouldnt let that stop me from going after waiting this long

fix it rig it man

plenty of time? I have one of the kids tonight due to the activities of the other and have to get all of my other stuff loaded.

I really need to cut the cable sheath down to length and fix the resulting burrs.

oh ok.. just seems like a quick fix to me. something you could probably even do at the track if needed. but whatever man, its all good. take your time. I:I

Make or break, it's loaded on the trailer. I'm going to throw allen wrenches in the toolbox and try to adjust the caliper into a sweet spot so it'll work but release tomorrow at busco.

Holy crap! That sucked. The good news is, I didn't kill myself or blow anything up. The bad news is it was HORRIBLY disappointing on the track. The head lifted enough to allow the cylinder to be coated in splooge, the carburetor was so pig rich that it was spitting fuel back out of the intake and soaking the filter and shooting liquid out of the pipe. Back to the drawing board when I get home, there are several modifications to be made before another TNT. One is to make a different fuel pump bypass. The pump, even with the bypass adjusted more open was overpowering the float and shooting fuel out of the throat.

The nest mod is to sell the yz85 flywheel and stator LOL and maybe add some weight to the flywheel! LOL As rich as it is, I couldn't launch for anything. Even revving it to the moon, it would bog in second. I'm also going to be buying like 5 aluminum PJ needles and reconfiguring their tapers for interchangability.

Glad you are still alive! I:I
