ok i plan on rebuilding my engine this winter.so heres my plan
3mm stroker, port and polish threw ken oconner raceing and a 28mm carb upgrade along with fresh bore and hone, will that be a ok setup for trail and few pit rides? will i feel a bit of power from that setup ? or should i go big bore kit to really top it off i dont need to be the fastest thing in town just want more power.
my setup now is
stock bore,no air lid, stock carb, stock header pipe ,with pro curcuit silencer.14 t front sprocket on 38 rear ,18 razor rears, front flipped wheels and tiressoon to be a pro curcuit header in mail on way lol

Just by adding a good pipe will wake it up, all your ideas are good but I would get a larger carb ready for future upgrades if you are thinking of a big bore.

oh boy will you feel a difference, but i'd go bigger carb like the 34mm i'm running on my KOR set-up
and without an extended swinger ya better have some ass to get up onto that tank,
check with ken about that too while ya have him on the phone

ok so your saying just go with bigger cab on stock bore with porting ? bigger than a 28mm so just go 34mm for future upgrades?

yep, i run 34mm pj keihin on kens stock ported cylinders
i can help with keihin jetting, and ken ran a 34mm mikiuni on his stock ported cylinder
so he can get ya started there
a 33mm pwk keihin will work good too

a 28mm is a good upgrade for a completely stock unported cylinder

Do it! Ken does great work...my non-stroked Blasty with just a KOR port job and head work absolutely rips. I ate a 400ex at the drag strip and edged out a stock 660 Raptor. I'm running a 34mm carb, too, and it is the best way to go. Get yourself a right-bend pipe (F7, Trinity, CT, etc) for best results if you have your top end ported. The Pro Circuit setup you have will work with a modified engine, but it will somewhat limit your engine's performance.

really wow lol thats what i want a arm ripper! ill look into a right hand pipe soon as i get this sent out and payed for i have all winter to do this build up so plan on redo everything

Well you'll definatley rip with a properly-built and jetted engine. I'm not saying you will be able to take down the piped and jetted thumpers, but you can get the stock ones if you know how to ride and run with the rest. Also, talk to Ken about a 3mil or 4mil stroker crank. A 3 mil setup is just a couple hundred extra when building the engine and a stroker crank will give you a little more torque. Always nice. lol

Note: 1,000th post! Woot! :D

yes i understand that been around rideing all my life.im no stranger to fixen stuff just like to do it right the first time.tune it in and go

yes the way it should be lol whats a better carb a mikuni or kehein ? basicly looking for easy jetting setups

Im running a Mikuni, but I'd say get a Keihin. Lots of people are running Keihins on here and they will be able to help you with jetting. I am kinda on my own jetting my Mikuni. It'll get done, but you'll get dialed in faster with a Keihin. Oh, and the Keihin carb will bolt up without using a reed spacer as long as you are running VF3's.
