went to the drag stip tonight

i went out to the drag stip tonight as i noted in another thread. I only got two runs out of the blaster and just after the second run it blew up. I took the head off at the track and found two very scored spots in the cylinder where it looks like the rings let go. So now i think im gonna save my money and go big with it. I think i wanna do a big bore kit, mill the head, and get it ported, make it real fast! so i think im gonna sell off the ported jug and head off of it soon and start to save.

What do you guys think of that, i really don't wanna drop the money to get it bored over another .020" i just wanna go bigger lol.

well the one decent pass it made went 11.001 @ 59mph in the 1/8th

I've been back and forth over the engine swap and BB , I've decided to just do a BB sleeve and piston , with a watercooled head , fairly agressive port job and a 35mm carb . I think keeping her a 2 smoke is the best way about it .

Someone mentioned Flotek. A piston is reciprocating mass, not raotational.

ya i top out about 50 feet before the 1/8th.

honestly i have no idea at this piont, i know it didn't lean out the plug looked great, i guess something must have happened with my mix in the gas idk, it had to beeen from lack of lubrication
