v force reeds question

ok quick question about the leakdown test. should air leak out eventually, or should it hold it for more than a min. Ive read that it can go down as long as it holds for a min. and other places that it should hold it untill you take it off.

at least 5 minutes, i've done 20 minutes already, 1 minute means theres a leak, get that bottle of soapy water out and start sprayin while keeping pressure on it with the pump, but never more than around 7 pounds,
you'll see bubbles forming where the leak is

i gotta get me a different pump... mine i have to get up to abougt 10 lbs, then realy quck unscrew fromt he valve stem then its on about 5 lbs by that point.

ok, so i got the leaks all fixed.

I removed the tors brain and all un pluged every thing conected with that garbage....

So now I know the engines good and sealed

Right now there is a

48 pilot, and a 150 main.

it will not even idle. It fires up, and then dies but will not idle.

I adjusted the idle screw fromt he max down to the max up, and i also adjusted the fuel screw between 3 turns to all the way in.

Im going to assume at this point its definitally a carb issue. Whats you guyses thoughts?

Im feelign like i may need a bigger pilot.

how can you just be removing the tors, and talkin 48 pilot and 150 main all in the same paragraph ????

Is this better :)

I removed the TORS brain, and have all the tors connecters unpluged that are still on the bike.

I then did a leakdown test becuase lastnight I was resealing all the gaskets on the reed cage, spacer etc. IT held 6 pounds of pressure for about 10 min and then i let the air out.

Its still not running right.

Rightnow ive got a 48 pilot, adn 150 main installed in the carb.
What it does is it fires up but does not idle. I have tryed adjusting the idle screw, and the fuel screw and it will not idle.

What should i look at first

remind us what carb again ???
the leak test was good !!!!

i think i see guys running a 50 pilot in them ???? don't know much about them
maybe slickerthanyou will chime in

It may be the float level, im not really sure how to check it. The drawing on kehins website is confuseign to me. I guess i just need to see picture of how to actualy do it using a real one. and im only using it with a ruller.

ok well i put adjusted the float level down to 19-20 mm.

seems to low becuase now it has less than 2mm before it hits the carb and does not fully compress the valve now. it only is compressing it about 1/3 of the way in.

is 19 - 20mm the specs for that carb ????
and heres how to hold the carb while measuring........................

I dont know what the specs are, siccivic told me it was 19mm though. But theres no directions or anytyhing that comes with OKOs, and i cant find anything online leisting the specs.

19mm is the float spec for the oko 30mm and you should measure it just like awk has it pictured. The 19mm is from the carburetor float bowl mating surface to the bottom of the float while the needle is touching the seat but not compressing it's spring loaded tip. Just like awk's picture.

i googled 30mm oko carb, the float specs are 19-20mm, but guess where every search find took me ????....................F'n scooter sites
what does that tell me, + the number of problem threads on here about these F'n oko carbs..............leave them on the scooters

my response to these oko threads from now in will simply be.......
buy a keihin !!!!!! period
