Using Marine Premix oil?

Im currently using some super tech brand TC-3 marine premix oil. Whats everyone think about using marine oils in general? I figure it cant be much different than regular 2 cycle oil. I usually run Amsoil sythetic 2 stroke oil but havent been to the dealer to get any lately.

i used quicksilver when my blaster was bone stock and it kinda sucked and it smelled bad

Yeah I've ran some castor marine oil before, smelled bad and smoked like crazy..... but it got the job done.

i am running maxima brand "smokeless formula", i dont know which one it is off hand but its black bottle with blue label and i like it. but i used to run supertech 2 cycle oil and it worked also. so i dont know

thats maxima super M, thats what i run now too and i like it. im sure marine oil will do in a pinch but i wouldnt want to use it regularly.

marine oils have different detergents and corrosion modifiers for engines that have some water come in through the intake, and they are better aimed at keeping your plugs from fouling and your exhaust port from filling up, But they are made for engines that run for long periods of time at the same speeds. which is not ideal for your blaster, and I do not think that they provide adequate lubrication because marine engines are water cooled and dont get NEARLY as hot as ur air cooled blaster, and marine engines are no tuned as much as a stock blaster, so that makes them inherently more reliable.

So marine oil probably wont cut it in the long run!

My buds that race jet skis, they use synthetic or castor based motorcycle oil!
