Two rebuilds...underway

Yeah it's the stock needle. I remember cleaning it before and I lost a clip or something. It's a bit wobbly now...I have a carb rebuild kit so I'll use the new needle and clips from that.
I hope the needle in the kit is identical to stock cause any other needle makes them very hard to tune or impossible to tune, i ran a vitos needle for like a day an I spent that whole day c'in with the carb an couldn't get it to run right, went back to stock 20 mins of tuning an perfect. I have some stock carb parts I think if you need anything ill give it to you

I have never had any luck with kit needles, that may be the reason that there is little thatch up top.

I never ever contemplate running a kit needle, too many headaches, although Larry says that he has had good experiences

Okay, took the carb apart. Cleaned it up real good. Set the needle one clip down so it's richer. Gonna go out in the morning and see how it runs. If everything is good after that I'm gonna do the plug chop and see if this 310 is Good enough.

Also, I was gonna buy new plastics cause I thought mine were shot from being stained...scrubbed them down with some SOS pads... Voila!! Saved a few hundred :)

Buying a new front bumper (dg) off of 89 blaster and getting some shock covers ....she'll be looking good in no time.

Next on the agenda is plug chops. Gonna head out in a few hours and get those done.

First day of real riding after the rebuilds. Didn't get too crazy, just putted around for the most part to break the motors in. Better footage will be coming soon, once I'm confident that my motor is broken in and running 100% correct. It still seems like it's bogging down in 5th and 6th gear. I moved the needle clip up one slot and now it runs better in 4th. It might just be this new pipe, I'm used to a pipe that excels in the mid range and this new pipe loves high rpms. If I'm in the powerband in 4th and shift 5th is fine. Same with 5th to 6th. If I'm not in the powerband when shifting 5th and 6th take a long time to get to where they should be.

Anyway, developed an air leak on the stator side of my girls quad, gotta leak test in the next few days to make sure that's the only spot. I looked at it and saw that I had the seal in a little bit crooked and tried to fix it but pushed it in even further. Gonna leak test, get the new seal, and go from there.
