two master links???

is it okay to run two master links in a chain? i finally got around to putting a lower chain roller on and now my chain wont go together. pushed the carrier as loose as it goes and still need about 2 mm to get it hooked , then if i do manage to get it hooked together its gonna be way too tight. and i have the links left ver from when i bought my chain and was wondering if i could put one or two more links on with another master link.
will i be asking too much of the chain at this point?

i have been running two masters here lately if you realy want to you can get a #50 master and probably half link to work for a weekend but dont use a #50 master for a long term deal i have split one and busted my case just because the 50 is that much wider than a 520

I ran 2 of the 520 masters for a while with my 2.5 swinger extension kit, 5 extra 520 links, etc. Never gave a problem and I ride hard.

Now I am running the correct length DID with a single master.
Of course the correct length, single master setup is always going to be the recommended setup to run but again the double master setup never failed on me.

yeah, a master link is a "weak link" but two isn't any weaker than one.

i needed another link in my chain and i just used a half link....gave me what i needed...

yeah i am not gonna just ise a 50 master link, i have a spare 520 laying arouns that i saved for just in case. i will be using the did master link and the spare did master link together with some links from when i cut my chain down originally. so all will be matching parts from the same manufacturer

If you don't need all that much more length, I would pick up a half link.

I've ran 2 master links for years with no problems.
There is a real benefit to doing that if you like to change sprockets alot.
Also it's easier to get that last link to connect if you do it on the rear sprocket.
