toomey pipe with factory air filter ???

im gonna purchase a used toomey pipe tomorrow . was wondering if itll run good with the stock air filter open lid . just asking cause i see on the toomey web site it comes with a uni filter.

Yea it'll work, get a better flowing filter down the line. Make sure you rejet your carb for the toomey though

dents, dings, make sure the flange and springs are still there, no cracks etc

A 290-310 jet should get you in the right neighborhood. Remember start high and work your way down

i dont have stock carb . i got 28mm keihin carb but everything else is stock .

nice!! but like they said watch out for dents... a little one wouldnt be the end of the world but a big one would be a deal breaker for me.

i didnt buy the pipe . it has a whole in it

If it is a small hole, it can be welded. Knock the price down some more.

it was a hole by the silencer . and he wanted 100 no less . i offered 80 .

was the hole in the silencer or the head pipe? if it was in the silencer 100 is still a good deal, the head pipe is what makes the power. you can run a a/m head pipe with a stock silencer i did it for a while with a fatty.

True. The small part back where the silencer connects is not that critcal either. In the end, only you can decide.
