a guy i ride with rocked the turf tamers for a while, sh*tty sodewalls and he got holes in them alll the time. i dont like em but that are pretty cheap and would work ok in soft terrain not the rocky quarry roads we ride
turf tamers aren't the best tires in the world but they work. they are meant for small quads like 90's and 50's etc but they DO THE JOB. there also isn't a lot of meat to them
I would pass on the turf tamers. Unless all you do is dirt roads with no rocks, those tires aren't going to cut it. It says right in the ad that they'd be good for ice tires....and they would be, after you studded every single nobbie on there!!
I just got off the phone with the guy. They have 2 races on them. He had them on a 450r. I had turfs on the back of the wifes old blaster and I liked them. Soft but worked good. The trails I go to see a soft sandy dirt mix so they should work fine. Than stud them for winter. An but new rears in spring. I figure ill get them all at that price. Under 100 for fronts an rears. 20s on front an 18s rear will look bad ass!! And the fronts will help with turning
That guy has to be lying about only two races. Unless he means something like a 5 hour race. Those Turf Tamers only have like 70% left. I've heard they grip awesome when you groove them. They will wear faster though.
Looks cool but I'd leave them. I don't mind some spin might help me off the line instead of pussy footin it to keep front and down... Ill run them. If I don't like them ill just order the CST ambush tires for the rear
