Timing Mod * Fail*

Okay so I did A +3 Timing mod today on my blaster and it ran good for a little while, then BOOM it just cut oof and wouldnt start so my dad and i took back apart, turns out the WOODRUFF KEY SNAPPED IN HALF.So i was wonderin of any of you guys could give me some help as to why this would happen?

P.S the flywheel slid on just fine so the key wasnt out of place. oh yeah sorry about not introducing myself i kinda lurk around the forums alot.

maybe you didnt tighten the flywheel on good enough

okay now im almost sure thats what it is. But does anyone know the torque spec?

53ft -ib, stator torque 5.3 ft-ib

when you put the flywheel back on use some thread locker too

always good to use loctite on everything on a 2 stroke

yeah man i modded the stator plate, and i fixed it we hadnt tightened it enough now its all good shes runnin real good
