Just started new meds for blood pressure. I'm within the heart attack range. Red flags a flying today at my doctors appointment. Going for a Cholesterol test in the morning.

Me too. Should of seen the nurses face and my fiancé face after the blood pressure reading was done.
They told me I had to fast. That's why I couldn't today. They didn't give me a 16 hour time span though.
i take high cholesterol medince.
they tell me to fast for like 12-16 before blood work?
sooo if you stop eating at midnight...noon or later next day get blood work

Normally they tell you to not eat after 9pm the night before an appointment. noon the next day would be 15 hours
So far I'm on blood pressure meds. After tomorrow, we will see what else I'll be on. Sucks cause I need my morning coffee and I can't have it.i take high cholesterol medince.

Getting thyroid test, liver test, cholesterol test and white blood cell test. I'll be good on the hours for eating. Thanks guys for the support.
I don't drink alot of pop products. Lots of coffee, water and beer mainly.

i say if you cant absolutely go with out coffee then do it/should not hinder results to much.

It does, but I had 2 cups today and shouldn't have raise my blood pressure as high as it was today. I've had high blood pressure for a while now, just not this high. 157 over 109pretty sure caffeine raises blood pressure
Not saying that you should do it Dave, but since my stroke and medications for blood pressure and blood thinning I have felt like crap everyday.
I took myself off of medication am now use lots of Garlic for the blood thinning and Olive leaf extract for the blood pressure.
I feel better now than I have for the last 9 month and my blood pressure is only slightly elevated.
I now control my cholesterol by eating a healthy diet.
My liking fo coffee is gone because since the stroke it tastes like dirt.
