how to use one of these pivoting seat brackets without setting it up for pivot/springs ?............
pound it flatter to hug the 2" tube, and curve the ears down around to fit tight around the side
since I used a filler piece there to eliminate the space under the seat, and nothing is welded permanently yet, it allowed me to weld nuts underneath, so the front of the seat attaches with 2 screws into the nuts below.
the 2 8mm nuts that hold the bracket to the seat pan are recessed down into the tube for a nice flat fit.
it'll get nicer m6 allen cap bolts during final assembly
before I cut the rear tank tab completely off, I trimmed and bent it down /\/\
just to see what this "raise the back an inch or two" looks like, using that original tab just looked obvious, without some nad busting raised bracket and a huge visible hollow area, like others do
that also allowed me to move my seat forward another 2 inches where I wanted it.
It may stay, or I may lower it back down, split that tab and twist them around to bolt on with new front seat bolts ?
raised or not, that area will get filled in with something so it looks finished and flows into the seat better.
next up is the 2 rear seat supports and get the shock mounts cut out so I can get this all welded up.
