judging from the measurments in this pic of the bolt holes, it looks to be 12-14" long and around 10" wide.
and it's actually listed as a solo bobber seat.
the one I'm sending back is about 18-20" long and 12-14" wide
got that giant banana seat headed back to the ebay seller for a refund today,
but I need a seat ASAP to continue, so I dropped the hammer an this bad boy.
not a huge fan of gator skin, but I got for waaaaay less than it's "buy it now" price
people put seat covers on all the time
but lets see how it looks first...there is always future mods and time to consider/not easy to fab a seat and custom build
mmmmm kevlar
I started playing around with some 2" EMT conduit to see works ?
with a red bullet lens I got
threw a little flashlight in for effect
then I temp tacked one side of the shock and tried 2 different versions
version 2 might be the one, I might cut out this tube and slide it down over the top shock/mounts and bolt thru everything to lower the seat another inch or 2 ?
the turned down tube allowed me the lowest and level seat position, I tacked it on and got a cardboard rough shape for the shock mount which will also support the seat tube,
time to try out the plasma cutter for the thicker shock mounts in that shape
and I rough cut a filler piece for the front seat and rear tank mounts, I like the second pics position for the filler, we'll see what the tank and seat together like better ?
I'm also not diggin the tank to seat transition, the seat a rounded/pointy and the tank squarish with an ugly seam visible. (the stock seat covered that)
might have to do some sort of tank filler piece so they flow into one another better ?
of course I could just buy an aftermarket teardrop tank, designed to go with a bobber seat, but I like this tank and it's gas cap and lock
ill take the lincoln welder
if you cant go metal/maybe plastic or fiberglass lol.
looks goods im sure you will be happy when its complete.Getting it there is the hard part
