The build has begun!

I thought about that 245...that seems to be the central location where everyone is mounting theirs. i dunno...it sticks out like a sore thumb there tho? Any pics of yours 245?

I see 245...thanks for the pic dude!

I want something that can be close enough to be adjusted without getting off the bike..just click it and go! Callmelazy...

245...i noticed you gotta slight tilt to your airbox too? I was wondering if they drilled mine a little high because it didn't sit even with the top of the frame. I may re-drill and seal that hole up where it does sit level

Yeh I'm not liking those hose clamps...corrode easily and look tacky to me. I would rather polish the billet clamps and clear PC over them so they would last a lifetime and look good as well! The billet clamps don't cost much either. One of these clamps serves the purpose and if you think about it, they don't move around so just one would secure it good enough.

So all I have been doing is experimenting with polishing. The project is on hold because just not enough money for the a arms...kinda depressing but it gives me time to really go above and beyond. anyone ever polished a frame? Well I'm going to attempt it. Then clear coat it with powder coat....I did a test spot on the frame and it turned out quite well! It's gonna take ALOT of time...but the efforts will be paid off! Herre is some experimenting I have done with new polishing pads.

This will be an awesome base for the orange transparent

Chrome powder needs a clear coat...if not the metal comes to the surface in chrome powder and turns black with the least minute scratch. After laying the clear, it turns it more silver/gray. I've sprayed it a dozen or more times and achieved the same result with different manufacturers.

I got time...lots of it...how many people have went as far as polishing a frame? I'm the only jackass to attempt it...and it WILL be done! Muahahahahahaha

Oh yeh it is...but it's getting clear coated afterwards. It's gonna be a few months before i can get me a arms now since my paycheck got cut DRASTICALLY...$150/wk drastic...so I'm gonna wait til i can take out another 401k loan to get the rest of the stuff. In the meantime...everything will be polished and coated...transparent candy orange and polished...my original plan
